The Xiling Seal Arts Society, dubbed as the “best society in the world”, is on the western side of Gushan Mountain in the city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. It is one of China's most important traditional stone seal engraving associations, a key National Relics Preservation Unit and its engraving a national intangible cultural heritage.

The society was founded in 1904 by Ding Ren, Wang Shi, Ye Ming and Wu Yin, with its first president being Wu Changshuo, a famous seal master. These days, many artists from overseas, including Japan, South Korea and Singapore, come every year to get together with society members to discuss the art form.
