Design week showcases artworks
A summit involving four parties was held to make the Hangzhou design visible on the global stage.
Initiated in 2012, the design week used to be a gathering of rare artworks from around the world. It this year focuses, however, on local designs and artists in a bid to boost China's strength in design.
Ye Fei, curator of the Hangzhou International Design Week 2016, said the exhibition has witnessed great changes over five years. Moving from a historic architecture on an old street to a modern building is a reflection of the event's evolution, according to Ye.
