International cartoon and animation festival to launch in Hangzhou
The 13th China International Cartoon & Animation Festival (CICAF) held a 30-day-countdown press conference in Hangzhou on March 26.
The festival will be staged from April 26 to May 1 by Baima Lake in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, according to the conference.
So far 82 countries and regions have confirmed their participation in this animation festival, themed "International Cartoon & Animation embrace the world".
Aside from the main venue, 16 sub-venues will be set up in the city, with over 50 activities in five categories, including exhibitions, forums, and competitions.
This year's animation festival will be further facilitated by mobile internet. Visitors can not only book tickets via the online payment system of Alipay, they can also participate in the festival through VR panoramic displays and live streaming.
The festival highlights will be provided by renowned cartoonists and their work. Global well-known animation companies and insiders will be at hand to discuss the creation and operation of animation. Internationally popular animation companies and games brands, such as Marvel, will take part in this animation event.
For the first time, the animation game conference will be in a marketing operation mode and carry out diverse special events focused on product trading, copyright authorization, and content partnerships.
Dynamic animation itinerant exhibitions will be implemented starting next week. What's more, various activities catering to children are designed to include more people to enjoy the fun and charm of animation.
