Geely Auto Group was an important stop on the delegation's visit to Zhejiang. Goteborg, a port city in southwestern Sweden, will soon be home to a Geely innovation center.

The innovation center will be an extension of the current China Euro Vehicle Technology AB (CEVT), a development center Geely established in Goteborg in 2013. Over the past three years, CEVT has employed more than 2,000 local people and has enjoyed a good reputation in Sweden.

Expected to provide a boost to Geely's global competitiveness, the innovation center is the most advanced research center in the global automobile industry.

According to data from Zhejiang's commerce department, Sweden launched two projects in Zhejiang last year, worth $3.78 million, while in 2016 there were 21 projects in Sweden supported by Zhejiang capital.
