A troupe from East China's Zhejiang province gave traditional Wuju Opera performances in Busan, Republic of Korea on Oct 19-23, as part of the city's Chinese Cultural Festival.

Over 10 Chinese stories and performing skills were presented to the Korean audience, including the popular face changing show. The Monkey King's martial arts, the warlord Lyu Bu's somersaults, the graceful swaying of long sleeves and the music from Chinese musical instruments pipa and erhu impressed all the attendees and received a lot of cheers and applauses.

During the five days, thousands of Korean people witnessed the performances.

Guo Peng, Chinese consul general in Busan highly appreciated the Wuju Opera performances, saying the opera made Chinese culture more perceivable in Korea.
