The 14th China Chorus Festival was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang province on Oct 27-30.

In the past three days, 141 choruses, more than 7,000 people from around the world gathered in Jiangbei district of Ningbo to compete in a singing competition.

Aside the main event, a series of activities including master classes, exchange meetings and performances at grassroots organization were staged across the district.

Jiangbei has formed a strong atmosphere for chorus culture since it held a few musical events last year, including the third Zhejiang Chorus Festival.

The district is strongly promoting the construction of a music harbor and planning a complete industrial layout for the local music culture. Jiangbei has reached cooperation with top conservatories in China including Central Conservatory of Music and China Conservatory of Music to jointly build an enterprise-university-research base for the art of music.
