World manufacturing equipment expo opens in Yiwu

The 2017 China Yiwu International Manufacturing Equipment Expo opened in Yiwu, Zhejiang province on Nov 23.
The three-day event, focusing on the theme of "intelligent, green and environment-friendly", will give full exposure to high-end and sophisticated equipment from home and abroad.
At the 60,000-square-meter exhibition area, a total of 3,000 booths, all categorized into eight themes, attract 848 companies from 18 Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, as well as 11 countries and regions including the US, Germany, Japan and South Korea.
The event, which was initiated in 2013, has developed immensely both in its scale and influence.
This year's edition, which has benefited from the Made in China 2025 strategy and Zhejiang's provincial proposal to reform traditional manufacturing industry, aims to integrate fashion, IT, equipment and health-keeping industries and promoting the development of advanced manufacturing with greener and more environmental-friendly solutions.
