The Zhejiang Sino-Czech (Ningbo) Industrial Cooperation Park is located in the Binhai Economic Development Zone, Cixi, and identifies several Central and Eastern European countries, such as the Czech Republic, as key partners.

At the launching ceremony, the first collection of companies that settled in the park were recognized by handing out keys to them. The collection included a Czech light aircraft manufacturer, a Czech outdoor incubator company and a Hungarian "magic wall" multimedia project.

In a bid to gain support and attract investment enterprises, the Binhai Economic Development Zone released a series of policies to offer incentives on the price of land, rental prices and tax.

Cooperation between Zhejiang and the Czech Republic can be traced back many years. In 2007, Zhejiang and the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic established friendly relations and cooperation between the two areas has been increasing over the past decade.

In July 2017, the first freight train between Prague and Yiwu, the famous commodity distribution hub in Zhejiang, left the capital of the Czech Republic. Czech President, Milos Zeman, and Prime Minister, Bohuslav Sobotka, attended the inauguration ceremony, considering how the freight train was an important milestone in bilateral cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

In September 2017, the Zhejiang Financial College announced the establishment of a Czech Research Center in Hangzhou to provide inquiry services to government bodies.
