Wenzhou issues 10 measures for further opening-up
The government of Wenzhou, Zhejiang province released 10 measures Aug 6 to further expand the city's opening-up.
Building a pilot area for world Chinese entrepreneurs
Wenzhou plans to build a pilot area for the return of overseas Chinese entrepreneurs. Within three years, the area is expected to become a main destination for world Chinese entrepreneurs to start businesses, a hot spot for innovative development of international trade, a starting place for world Chinese entrepreneurs to participate in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and a base for integrating and allocating resources brought by overseas Chinese businessmen.
Constructing a center for imported commodities
Wenzhou will step up efforts to speed up the construction of Oujiangkou industrial cluster area and strive to transform it into a center for the storage, exhibition and trade of imported commodities as well as a center for cross-border business.
Exerting strength of industrial platforms
Wenzhou will push forward the construction of a string of industrial platforms, including Oujiangkou industrial cluster area, Zhenan industrial cluster area and Zhenan Technology City, to attract large and powerful companies.
Deepening strategic cooperation with Shanghai
The city intends to have in-depth cooperation with Shanghai's Jiading district on industrial, innovation, talent, information and capital chains, to develop closer links with Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region.
Pilot the market purchasing trade
The city will strive to get approval to pilot market purchasing trade. Meanwhile, it will roll out management measures on trade and make policies related to industry cultivation.
