Bamboo-themed festival adds vitality to Shangyang town
A bamboo-themed festival was held on March 30 in Shangyang town of Longquan, a county-level city in Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province to celebrate the harvest of bamboo shoots and moso bamboo.
Shangyang boasts 68,000 mu (4533.33 hectares) of bamboo forests. Local government has held various bamboo-themed activities since 2003, which has advanced the development of its bamboo industry.
