Wuju Opera, a type of local opera in East China's Zhejiang, was presented to a diverse international audience at the Asian Culture Carnival during the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations in Beijing on May 15.

The Zhejiang Wuju Opera Troupe, the only performance troupe to be invited to the event, has been preparing for the performance since the middle of March.

"We organized a team of more than 100 people for the performance," said a staff member.

The team cherished the opportunity to promote Wuju on a global stage. The performance garnered cheers and ravenous applause for its distinct Chinese characteristics.
