Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province launched its brand in the Russian capital of Moscow on June 6, marking the beginning of the Week of Russia Zhejiang Culture and Tourism.

Quzhou showcased its profound history, beautiful landscapes, and livable environment to the participants of the promotional event.

Oil-paper umbrella dances, Xi'an Gaoqiang (a kind of rhyming scheme in Chinese opera), Wuju opera and folk songs were staged to show off colorful Quzhou.

Special snacks made in Quzhou were prepared for Russian visitors, such as steamed sponge cakes, sesame cakes and bride cakes.

In addition to the opening ceremony, Quzhou representatives will also attend an exhibition of the event from June 6 to 14 to present 31 photographs, six folk paintings and five watermark prints.

Visitors can try out watermark printing and knot arts while touring the exhibition with the help of Quzhou handicraftsmen.

The Week of Russia Zhejiang Culture and Tourism is the third part of the Year of Russia Zhejiang Culture and Tourism, co-sponsored by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and China Culture Center in Moscow.
