Some 800 representatives from government departments, academic agencies, financial institutes, energy authorities and global and domestic enterprises are attending the conference, looking to exchange insights into the IoT and the smart development of industry and energy.

With its theme of "Interconnecting the World with Smart Energy", the conference has one main plenary session, one innovation exhibition and five sub-forums on different topics including intelligent manufacturing, smart cities and green development.

Chint Group, a leading Wenzhou-based electrical equipment and new energy enterprise and one of the conference's organizers, is beating a path to innovation after having been engaged in the areas of industry and energy for nearly 35 years.

Company officials said that in order to follow the IoT development trend, it has built industrial IoT and the energy IoT application networks.

These two integrate data from the manufacturing and marketing fields inside the group based on IoT technologies. Moreover, they said that Chint is even considering involving partners with its networks.
