The first National Mind Games Expo is scheduled to take place at the Nanhu Convention and Exhibition Center in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, from Nov 8 to 18, according to a press conference held in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang, on Oct 18.

The expo is an important supporting activity of the 4th National Mind Games, and it is expected to attract various professional chess organizations, mind game manufacturers, and related tech companies, who will showcase their latest products within an exhibition area of 100,000 square meters.

The expo will feature five pavilions focusing on chess games, the chess industry, mind games, individual experience, and innovative mind game products from home and abroad, respectively.

In addition, in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the expo will showcase China's achievements in mind games over the past seven decades.

A variety of other events will also be held on the sidelines of the expo, including a Mind Games Development Forum, a mini marathon, a fashion show themed around chess culture, and a special food festival.

The 4th National Mind Games, sponsored by the Table Games Management Center of the General Administration of Sports, will include six different competitions – Weiqi, Chinese chess, international chess, bridge, five-in-a-row, and draughts.

Quzhou boasts a long history of mind games and is one of the birthplaces of Weiqi, a two-player abstract strategy board game.

In recent years, the city has seen significant creative development and has built a brand for itself by hosting sporting events. Body building has also gained popularity among residents of the city.
