Zhejiang province recently sent a shipment of medical supplies such as face masks, protective gear and goggles to Japan and South Korea to help them fight against the COVID-19 epidemic.

Ancient Chinese and Korean poems were written on the boxes as a show of friendship between the three countries.

The Zhejiang government also sent letters to the governments of South Korea and its Jeollanam-do province, as well as the government of Shizuoka prefecture in Japan, expressing its willingness to help.

Zhejiang is close to Japan and South Korea in proximity and has a close relationship with the two countries, especially with Jeollanam-do and Shizuoka.

The two regions also donated many medical supplies to Zhejiang in the early days of the epidemic.
