A video meeting was held at 7:30 pm on March 26 between Wang Jian'an, director of the Second Affiliated Hospital of the School of Medicine of Zhejiang University, several doctors dispatched by the hospital to Wuhan, Hubei province, and some doctors from the New York Presbyterian Hospital on a request from the US hospital to seek advice from its Zhejiang counterpart on COVID-19 treatment.

Doctors from the New York hospital attending the conference included Doctor Laureen Hill, the hospital’ chief operating officer, Dr Donald Landry, chief physician of the internal medicine department, and Dr Scott Hammer, a senior doctor at the hospital's department of infectious diseases.

The number of COVID-19 patients in the United States is currently on the rise, and New York is the country's hardest-hit area.

The Second Affiliated Hospital of the School of Medicine of Zhejiang University has gained much experience in treating critically ill COVID-19 patients. Wang Welin, leader of a team dispatched by the hospital to Wuhan, and Lu Xiao, a team member, attended the conference and shared their experiences in treatments, therapies, and other aspects. 

The meeting lasted over an hour. At the end, Dr Hill thanked the doctors from the Zhejiang hospital for sharing their experience.
