All levels of government in Taizhou recently set up special windows for enterprises looking to apply for tax and fee rebates.
The move comes as local authorities try to alleviate the financial burden on enterprises amid the epidemic.
By March 30, the city had set up special windows in all of the city's administrative service centers. They are specially designed to handle applications from enterprises.
Enterprises can file 13 different types of applications at the window, including applications for property tax and urban land use tax reductions and exemptions, deferred payment of tax and social insurance, and the return of unemployment insurance premiums and labor union funds for small and micro enterprises.
The remaining procedures related to taxes, social security, and medical insurance will be dealt with online by the appropriate departments.
Xu Zheng, financial manager of Taizhou Wanda Plaza Commercial Management Co Ltd, said that it only took him 10 minutes to complete all the applications.
The Taizhou Wanda Plaza has been closed since January 25 in response to the outbreak.
The company waived rents and property fees for more than 170 tenants for 36 days, and are allowing them to pay in installments throughout March and April.
Applications to benefit from the preferential policies will save them nearly one million yuan ($144,927.5), Xu said.
