Many companies in China Textile City, a cluster of textile companies in Keqiao district, Shaoxing, Zhejiang province have turned to online trading to survive the COVID-19 epidemic.

China Textile City saw its turnover in the first quarter drop 15.3 percent year-on-year due to a shortage of overseas orders.

To deal with this, many textile companies are turning to the internet to attract overseas buyers.

In April, China Textile City held an online trade fair, during which nine local textile companies made trade deals with more than 30 clothing companies and designers from South Korea.

"Orders have increased in recent days," said Li Shangyu, general manager of Pier Bolan Wool Textile Co. The company's shipments in April increased nearly 20 percent over the previous month.

Qian Miaodi, a manager of China Textile City, said the place plans to focus on online fairs and transactions this year.
