Jiaxing vies for more talent
The seventh Jiaxing International Talent Exchange and Cooperation Conference was held on May 18 in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, as part of the city's third Talent Day event, local media reported.
Mao Hongfang, mayor of Jiaxing, addressed the conference, saying the city wants more people to come and work there and will respect and create better development opportunities for them.
Jiaxing is looking forward to working with more high-profile professionals from around the world, the mayor added.
Chen Zhong, deputy director of the Zhejiang Province Human Resources and Social Security Department, gave his thumbs up to the work Jiaxing has done in recruiting top professionals and urged entrepreneurs to start businesses in both Zhejiang and Jiaxing.
A project matchmaking meeting was held during the event, which attracted more than 50 universities, research institutes and companies and more than 100 projects to stage roadshows.
Moreover, one office buildings and three industrial parks went into service on the same day. They were the Zhejiang Yangtze River Delta Talent Building, Zhejiang Yangtze River Delta High-level Talent Innovation Park, Jiashan Yangtze River Delta Talent Innovation Park and Pinghu Talent Innovation Park.
Organized by the Jiaxing Municipal Party Committee and Jiaxing Municipal Government, the annual talent event has invited more than 1,200 high-level professionals to come to Jiaxing and introduced roughly 300 project to date.
