The provincial department of agriculture and rural affairs in Zhejiang is holding an online fair to promote local special rural delicacies.

Held from June 10 to 14, the fair is the first of its kind in Zhejiang.

More than 150 business entities attended the event, bringing with them 200 special rural delicacies throughout the province.

During the fair, visitors get to enjoy a 20 percent discount on all the delicacies. They can also redeem free snacks if they post a short video of their hometown's special delicacies online.

In addition, several local chefs have been invited to teach visitors how to make the delicacies. Stories about the delicacies have also been published online to promote local culinary culture.

Zhejiang has been devoted to promoting special rural delicacies in recent years. Statistics show that the industry of Zhejiang generated 43 billion yuan ($6.09 billion) in output last year.
