The West Lake Cyber Security Conference kicked off online in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on June 16.

The conference was attended by many big names, who discussed cyberspace information security, covering topics such as new-type infrastructure, 5G technology, block chains, fin-tech security, and industrial internet data security.

A group chat involving young scientists was a highlight of the conference. During the conversation, they discussed potential future cyber security issues and theorized about human-machine interaction, artificial intelligence, smart cities, quantum computing, and 5G development.

The conference also featured six parallel forums inviting participants to discuss China's digital drive and latest achievements related to security issues such as internet of things, big data, cloud computing, and mobile payment.

In addition, an online exhibition was held on the sidelines. It showcased 3D displays of cutting-edge cyberspace security technology, fin-tech, and industrial leaders.

The conference, now being held for the eighth time, is meant to promote the development of China's cyber security industry and has developed into a well-known event.
