Officials from Shanghai and the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui, gathered in Huzhou from June 18 to 19 to explore the coordinated development of medical security in the Yangtze River Delta. 

The medical insurance bureaus of the four places signed a cooperation agreement to facilitate the inter-provincial transfer and continuation of medical insurance relations within the area. 

During the event, Qingpu district in Shanghai, Wujiang district in Jiangsu province and Jiashan County in Zhejiang province signed an agreement on the integration of medical security. 

Hongkou district in Shanghai, Wuxi and Changzhou in Jiangsu province, Huzhou in Zhejiang province, and Xuancheng in Anhui province also reached an agreement on the coordinated development of medical security. 

Xia Wenxing, deputy secretary of the CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee, said that the agreements will help establish a roadmap for the coordinated development of integrated medical security in the Yangtze River Delta and that Huzhou will play an active role in their implementation.
