Construction on the main structure of a 45-meter-tall Ikea warehouse in Malaysia, the tallest of its kind in Asia, was recently completed. 

Zhejiang Jinxing Logistics Equipment Co Ltd, based in Wuxing High-tech District in Huzhou, is the manufacturer of the warehouse's most important component—shelves.

By virtue of its excellent product quality, Jinxing was chosen for the 100-million-yuan ($14.49 million) contract over Schäfer, a world-leading solutions provider for logistics systems and products.

Yuan Yuefeng, general manager of the company, attributed the company's success to its integration into the Yangtze River Delta.

It now has more than 10 production lines, and 80 percent of the equipment is from the Yangtze River Delta, according to Yuan. 

Essential production equipment comes from Jiaxing, punching machines from Ningbo, coating equipment from Yangzhou and laser cutting machines from Suzhou. 

"In recent years, the manufacturing level of production equipment in the Yangtze River Delta region has improved significantly, making our transformation and upgrading possible.” 

Jinxing, the largest shelf manufacturer in China, no longer produces equipment independently. Instead, it introduces advanced equipment from professional companies in the delta, which allows it to devote more of its efforts to product development and market expansion. 

The choice of Wuxing High-tech District was primarily due to its geographical location, which makes it convenient for the company to cooperate with advanced enterprises in the delta, said Yuan. 

Jinxing now accounts for more than 50 percent of the domestic market. Since its resumption of production this year, the company's output value has exceeded more than 100 million yuan in just three months, up 30 percent year-on-year. 

The company's second phase currently is under construction. After put into use, its annual output value is expected to reach one billion yuan.
