Tuanshi village in Longyou county, Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, has become famous on the web for its stunning natural scenery and green ecological environment.

Since May 2019, the village has taken the construction of Xiaonanhai area, the core area of rural revitalization along Qujiang River, as an opportunity for economic growth. It took the demolition of illegally constructed buildings as a breakthrough point to improve the rural environment and improve on its advantages in beautiful scenery.

In just over a month, Tuanshi village demolished 457 illegally constructed houses, covering nearly 10,000 square meters. These spaces have been transformed into pavilions, walkways and other landscape facilities, enriching the life of the villagers and decorating the landscape.

When these facilities are opened to the public, not only will the villagers' annual income increase, but also the collective income of the village is expected to increase by 50 percent.

Taking full advantage of the construction of a "Virtuous Quzhou" picturesque landscape belt in Quzhou, Tuanshi village is striving to build a "garden-like village" without illegal buildings or walls. The area's beautiful scenery attracts many tourists.

Roughly 1,000 tourists flocked to the village every day during the May Day holiday this year. Every weekend 500 to 600 people a day visit the village to sightsee and taste characteristic Longyou food.
