New train service facilitates marine transport for SW Zhejiang

When a train with the service number of 42040-1 departed from Yueqing Gulf Station on Aug 13, it marked the launch of train services on the newly-built Yueqing Gulf Railway Line in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.
The Yueqing Gulf Railway Line, which is 76.7 kilometers long, passes through Wenzhou's Lucheng district, Yongjia county, Yueqing city, and the Yueqing Gulf.
Most of Wenzhou's deep-water port area is located in the Yueqing Gulf. The operation of the Yueqing Gulf Railway Line will not only connect the railway and sea freight transport in the city of Wenzhou, but also facilitate marine transport for the vast region that comprises Southwest Zhejiang, North Jiangxi province, and South Anhui province.
The Yueqing Gulf Railway Line is jointly invested by Zhejiang Communications Investment Group Co, the Wenzhou municipal government, and the Yueqing municipal government at a ratio of 30 percent, 35 percent, and 35 percent.
