Jiangshan training high-end talents to boost local economy

Jiangshan in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, has vigorously carried out national skilled personnel upgrading and cultivation in recent years, according to local media on Aug 21.
It has built one provincial public training base for high-skilled personnel, seven municipal public training bases and training demonstration bases for high-skilled personnel, and eight provincial skilled master studios, which are in the leading position in the city.
The city has more than 50,000 skilled personnel, more than 8,000 high-quality skilled personnel, 209 technicians, including one expert enjoying a special allowance from the State Council, and 94 senior technicians.
"The number of young people in Jianghsan can be attributed to its policy of cultivating high-quality talents," said Zhou Chao, a young senior technician.
Jiangshan, a county-level city, covers 2,019 square kilometers and governs 16 towns, three subdistricts and 292 villages. It boasts a strong industrial foundation, thriving tourism industry, pleasant living environment and a rich culture.
