A group of 30 primary school graduates from Seni district, Nagchu, Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region recently qualified for online interviews arranged by Tianma Experimental School in Zhejiang province, local media reported.

Qian Ligu, vice-principal of the Zhejiang school, raised many questions to the students during the interview, including how they planned to handle conflicts with their classmates and what their hobbies are.

Teachers from both sides were reported to be impressed with the students who replied the questions with confidence and in Mandarin.

The students will soon embark on a 3,800-kilometer trip to East China's Zhejiang, where they will spend the next three years studying at Tianma Experimental School. This will be the first batch of students from Tibet to gain learning opportunities in Zhejiang

Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, started providing Nagchu with holistic support in 1995.

"I really appreciate Hangzhou's dedication to Nagchu and my family is looking forward to seeing my child study in Zhejiang," said a father named Wangdui.
