More than 40,000 businesspeople from Zhejiang to attend 3rd CIIE
Many businesspeople from Zhejiang province have already arrived in Shanghai to attend the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE), slated to be launched on the evening of Nov 4.
According to the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, around 20 foreign companies based in Zhejiang have signed up to be exhibitors at the 3rd CIIE, and more than 40,000 individuals representing around 14,000 Zhejiang-based companies are registered buyers at the import fair.
Zhejiang-based participants of the expo are involved in services, automobiles, intelligent industry and information technology, consumer goods, medical equipment and healthcare products, and food and agricultural products.
According to an official from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, Zhejiang authorities are set to host a total of 43 events involving cultural exchange, international cooperation, import purchases, investment enrollment, and consumption promotion at the 3rd CIIE. There will be 17 more events than at the 2nd CIIE.
The Zhejiang trade mission to the 3rd CIIE will hold the China Zhejiang-Europe Digital Economy and Hi-tech Industry Summit on Nov 5, offering business cooperation opportunities to around 50 well-known foreign enterprises, including Siemens, BMW, SAP, Nokia, and Bayer, as well as around 120 Zhejiang enterprises, including Alibaba, Geely, and Wahaha.
Another important event held by the Zhejiang trade mission will be a signing ceremony on Nov 6 for the province’s importation of anti-epidemic medical supplies.
