The filing time has been slashed from 2 hours to less than half an hour, with 80 percent of the cases being filed online.

Government procurement is transparent and fully open to the public in Ningbo. In March 2018, an online government procurement platform was inaugurated in the city.

To date, projects with a combined value of nearly 11.3 billion yuan ($1.73 billion) have been reached on the platform. More than 8,200 enterprises have become official suppliers.

Meanwhile, Ningbo has been optimizing its government services for market entities. 

The city ranks third among 32 major cities in China in terms of online administrative service capability, according to a report.

As of July, over 98 percent of the 2,209 administrative service items offered by municipal departments in the city can be handled online, among which over 91 percent can be handled on mobile phones.

Taxpayers are able to declare tax via self-service machines and round-the-clock service centers. The city is currently home to 644 self-service machines and nine service centers.
