Quzhou in eastern Zhejiang province launched a photography competition on Aug 20, aiming to explore the unique charms of the city and showcase its beautiful scenery, according to the organizers.

Organizers added that entries should display the city's pleasant environment, rich culture, prosperous development and gracious nature as well as the achievements made by the city in vying for the honor of International Garden City, which was awarded to Quzhou in December 2018.

Participants should email their work to 334724990@qq.com with an attachment named "participant's name + entry's title + phone number" from Aug 20 to Oct 15. A brief introduction to the entries is also needed, including the time the piece was photographed and the location.

Winners are scheduled to be announced in mid-November.

A total of 66 winners will be selected and bonuses of up to 5,000 yuan ($708.58) will be given to each winner.
