Quzhou holds folk handicrafts exhibition

The second Quzhou Folk Handicrafts Exhibition recently concluded in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, according to local media reports.
The exhibition was organized by the Quzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Quzhou Confucianism Hall and Quzhou Folk Literature and Art Association.
During the exhibition, a total of 21 handicrafts received gold awards and 34 won silver awards, including paper cutting, stone carving, root carving, celadon ware and bamboo weaving.
Zhan Jian, chairman of the Quzhou Folk Literature and Art Association, said that the exhibition aims to promote the preservation and development of folk handicraft art in Quzhou.
Zhan added that the award-winners include both young and elderly artists.
The exhibition this year attracted more exhibitors with higher quality and more diverse handicrafts than last year, according to Zhan.
