A new unmanned aerial vehicle facility recently debuted in Changshan county – administered by Quzhou city in East China's Zhejiang province – deploying a fleet of the drones that conduct 20-minute inspection trips and then automatically return to base for a recharge.

The aerial surveillance system, developed by the Digital Space Technology R&D Center at the Southeast Digital Economy Development Institute in Quzhou, uses a data analysis cloud platform to monitor conditions in agricultural fields, among other things.

With its software and hardware system, artificial intelligent identifications are made through the use of 3D cloud modeling, computer graphics and 3D visualizations, which are widely used in agricultural inspections and in local policing.  

Recently, the system completed an inspection of 100 hectares in the Qujiang district.  In the past, it would have taken a farmer at least three days to complete the job and now with the drones it takes a couple of flights.
