The Quzhou municipal health commission has recently upgraded its intelligent epidemic monitoring system for COVID-19 with a face mask recognition function.

The new function can carry out round-the-clock uninterrupted monitoring of key monitoring points in hospitals, such as pre-examination and triage, fever clinics and intestinal clinics, and accurately identify whether people are wearing masks.

If someone is found not wearing a mask, the alarm system will be activated immediately, and the message will be sent to the supervision agency and medical institution simultaneously, which makes monitoring more efficient.

More than 430 sets of intelligent monitoring equipment, equipped with AI recognition functions, have been installed in 98 fever outpatient hospitals and key sites for the prevention and control of respiratory and intestinal infectious diseases in township health centers, such as pre-examination and triage offices, fever clinics, waiting areas of fever clinics, intestinal clinics, and CT rooms.

Law enforcement personnel can achieve real-time online full monitoring of key medical institutions through the command center, an intelligent health supervision computer terminal, or a mobile APP. In addition, staff members of medical institutions can also log onto the platform to inspect their own problems and strengthen self-examination.
