A total of 13,074 enterprises and 35,319 individuals from East China's Zhejiang province attended the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which concluded in Shanghai on Nov 10, as purchasing agents.

On Nov 7, the Zhejiang trade delegation at the expo hosted a group signing ceremony, in which agreements were signed confirming cooperation between 22 Zhejiang-based companies and 25 overseas exhibitors. The total contract value stood at 13.19 billion yuan ($2.07 billion), up 3.2 percent from the corresponding value at the previous year's CIIE.

Medical devices and healthcare products accounted for 26.5 percent of the value of what the Zhejiang trade delegation purchased at the 4th CIIE. The percentages in value for technological equipment and for services were 19.4 percent and 10.6 percent respectively.

Zhejiang authorities held numerous investment recruitment activities at the expo, resulting in the contract signings for 64 foreign investment programs, of which 24 involved Fortune Global 500 companies and industrial giants from abroad.
