Quzhou to host 18th Games of Zhejiang Province in 2026
The closing ceremony of the 17th Games of Zhejiang Province was held at the Jinhua Sports Center in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, on Nov 28.
During the ceremony, Jinhua handed the flag of the Games of Zhejiang Province over to Quzhou, as Quzhou will host the 18th Games of Zhejiang Province in 2026.
The Games of Zhejiang Province is the largest comprehensive sports meet in the province and is held every four years.
This year's event saw 1,076 gold medals handed out for 910 disciplines in 34 sports, and over 11,000 athletes from around the province took part.
The Quzhou delegation won 36 gold medals in the event, including 18 gold medals in competitive sports, a record high for the city in provincial games. The city pocketed seven gold medals in archery competitions, the most in the province. In shooting competitions, it took seven gold medals and broke one provincial record.
