Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province was recently selected as a classic case of high-quality development in 2022 by the magazine Xiaokang.

In 2021, the growth rate of Quzhou's 12 main economic indicators ranked in the top six in the province. Eight of its indicators ranked in the top three in the province.

The city's output value and total profits of above-designated size industrial enterprises increased by 29.8 percent and 55.7 percent, respectively.

The output value of above-designated size industrial enterprises of six major industrial chains, including new materials, new energy, integrated circuits, intelligent equipment, life and health, and special paper, totaled 121 billion yuan ($17.54 billion).

By 2025, the output values of the city's fluorosilicone new materials, new energy battery new materials, electronic chemicals, special functional materials and fine chemicals industries are expected to reach 40 billion yuan, 50 billion yuan, 10 billion yuan and 20 billion yuan, respectively. The output value of the new chemical materials industry is expected to reach 120 billion yuan.
