Quzhou's foreign trade exceeds 54b yuan in Jan-Nov
Quzhou's imports and exports were valued at 54.77 billion yuan ($7.86 billion) from January to November, a year-on-year increase of 24.3 percent, according to the Quzhou Customs.
Exports were valued at 36.39 billion yuan, a surge of 30.2 percent year-on-year, while imports reached 18.38 billion yuan, up 14 percent year-on-year. Export growth ranked second in Zhejiang province.
During this period, the city's major export commodities were mechanical and electrical products, basic organic chemicals, labor-intensive products, pulp and paper products and high-tech products, which were valued at 9 billion yuan, 4.77 billion yuan, 3.71 billion yuan, 3.1 billion yuan and 2.38 billion yuan, respectively.
ASEAN, Latin America, South Korea and the European Union were the city's top four trade partners, with their import and export values amounting to 10.48 billion yuan, 7.82 billion yuan, 6.66 billion yuan and 5.85 billion yuan, respectively, increasing by 144.5 percent, 12 percent, 40.6 percent and 23.6 percent. ASEAN was the city's largest trade partner, accounting for 19.1 percent of its total total import and export value.
During the 11-month period, the city exported 1.65 billion yuan through the customs cross-border e-commerce management platform, a six-fold year-on-year increase, increasing the city's export growth by 5.1 percentage points.
In addition, the city's trade with RCEP members countries and countries under the Belt and Road Initiative totaled 20.38 billion yuan and 18.36 billion yuan, up 38.3 percent and 83.9 percent, respectively.
