Quzhou sees rapid industrial development in 2022

The added value of above-designated-size industrial enterprises in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, expanded 9.6 percent year-on-year to 60.97 billion yuan ($8.99 billion) in 2022, the third highest in the province.

The added value of above-designated-size industrial enterprises in the city's economic and technological development zone, Kecheng district, Qujiang district, Changshan county, Kaihua county, Longyou county and Jiangshan city reached 32.9 billion yuan, 26.94 billion yuan, 10 billion yuan, 5.19 billion yuan, 3.23 billion yuan, 8.28 billion yuan and 7.89 billion yuan, up 13.7 percent, 15.9 percent, 5.2 percent, 10.2 percent, 12.3 percent, 3.7 percent and 0.4 percent year-on-year.

In the past year, 18 of 33 industries in the city saw growth in output value. The growth rate of chemical and nonferrous metals exceeded 50 percent.

The 111 large and medium-sized enterprises were the main driving force for the city's growth, increasing annual output value by 9.7 percentage points, 2.5 percentage points higher than the 1,240 small and micro enterprises.

The industrial added value of large and medium-sized enterprises reached 33.97 billion yuan, up 14.2 percent year-on-year, while that of small and micro enterprises was 27 billion yuan, an uptick of 4.3 percent year-on-year.
