Specialty paper industry booms in Quzhou

The output value of Quzhou's above-designated-size enterprises in the specialty paper industry reached 26.46 billion yuan ($3.9 billion) in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 9.04 percent, according to the Quzhou economy and information technology bureau.

The added value of the city's specialty paper industry expanded 9.4 percent year-on-year to 6.41 billion yuan.

Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province is a well-known special paper industry base in China. The city is currently home to two listed enterprises on the main board and five listed enterprises on the new third board engaged in the special paper industry.

In the past year, the export value of the city's specialty paper totaled 2.89 billion yuan, up 28.28 percent year-on-year.

As a key industry of the city, the output value of the specialty paper industrial chain is expected to reach 30 billion yuan.

To help enterprises obtain overseas orders, the city has held three sessions of the China International Specialty Paper Exhibition. More than 10 countries and 110 companies participated in the 2019 exhibition, attracting more than 4,500 visitors.

This year, the China International Special Paper Exhibition and a Quzhou-Latin America online business matchmaking meeting will be held in the city.
