Zhang created a high-yield and efficient ecological cycle farming model for aquatic products that has been promoted across the province.
Under the new shared-development model, the company will provide funds for farmers to buy fry, fish medicine and fish feed. The village collectives and farmers do not need to pay any money for breeding, instead only needing to provide breeding locations and labor, allowing them to enjoy fixed incomes and market premium dividends.
In Longyou county, a total of 350,000 mu (23,333 hectares) of aquaculture bases has applied this farming model.
In addition, Zhang has trained a total of 3,000 farmers and 87 aquatic technical professionals.
