County-level city, counties and districts in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, have issued consumption coupons or held consumption activities to help the consumer market recover this year.

Qujiang district, with 2.8 million yuan ($408,136) in government subsidies, cooperated with 18 car enterprises, selling 472 cars in total and generating 100 million yuan in sales.

Longyou county issued a total of 8 million yuan in consumption coupons, and 88 percent of the coupons have been used.

During the Spring Festival, Jiangshan city and Kaihua county provided a total of 3.73 million yuan in consumption subsidies to struggling people and employees who stayed put in Quzhou during the Spring Festival.

Changshan county also started a week-long activity to distribute 3.5 million yuan in coupons on Feb 15.

According to statistics, as of Feb 17, the city had carried out five consumption coupon issuance activities, and over 80 percent of the coupons had been used. Orders where coupons were used had a total value of 140 million yuan.

In addition, large-scale activities such as lantern shows and firework shows, as well as rural markets, were held to stimulate consumption.
