Core digital economy industries thrive in Quzhou
The revenue of above-designated-size enterprises in core industries of the digital economy in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, exceeded 50 billion yuan ($7.17 billion) for the first time in 2022, reaching 56 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 41.1 percent and ranking third in the province.
The added value of above-designated-size enterprises in manufacturing industries, which are the core industries of digital economy, reached 8.16 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 32.1 percent, ranking second in the province.
Leading enterprises in the city played an important role.
In 2022, the revenue of eight above-designated-size enterprises in the core industries of the digital economy each exceeded 1 billion yuan and totaled 27.1 billion yuan, accounting for 48 percent of the city's total and a year-on-year surge of 98 percent.
Two enterprises' revenues both exceeded 5 billion yuan, realizing double-digit increases over the previous year.
The city has so far cultivated 65 national high-tech enterprises in digital economy and 219 provincial small and medium-sized high-tech enterprises, injecting strong impetus into the development of the city's digital economy.
