Quzhou boasts high-quality drinking water
The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Water Resources and the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment recently released the results of the 2022 annual centralized drinking water source safety evaluation for 82 counties and cities in Zhejiang province.
The results showed that 67 of them were rated "excellent", while the rest were rated "good".
All five drinking water sources in Quzhou were rated excellent, including Huangtankou reservoir in Qujiang district, Sheyang reservoir-Gaopingqiao reservoir in Longyou county, Xiakou-Baishuikeng reservoir in Jiangshan, a county-level city in Quzhou, Furong reservoir in Changshan county, and Majinxi water source in Kaihua county.
Their water quality has remained at Grade I-II year-round. Three water sources were classified as Grade I, and the rate of water quality meeting standards remained at 100 percent.
The five drinking water sources have been rated excellent every year since 2020.
