Kaihua Longding tea is a leading kind of tea that has helped bring agricultural prosperity to Kaihua county, Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

On June 9, at Mingcha Development Co Ltd in Kaihua county, employees were packing and preparing to send Kaihua Longding tea to Hangzhou Kailin Tea Co Ltd's direct-sale store.

At the direct-sale store, customers can not only choose among all listed products but also enjoy various services such as home delivery.

Since 2005, Mingcha Development Co Ltd has opened direct-sale stores selling Kaihua Longding tea in Hangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and several other places.

The direct-sale store in Hangzhou generates more than 5 million yuan ($698,561.82) in sales for the company every year. The sales of all direct-sale stores accounted for 50 percent of the company's total.

Today, Kaihua Longding tea's market continues to expand. Zhejiang Yuncui Tea Industry Development Co Ltd has also established two Kaihua Longding franchise stores and eight consignment stores in Shanxi province, Inner Mongolia autonomous region and other places. This year, the company plans to strengthen tea exports and focus on the Japanese and European Union markets.

Data shows that in 2022, Kaihua produced a total of 3,314 metric tons of tea with a value of 1.3 billion yuan. The brand value of Kaihua Longding tea reached 3.17 billion yuan, ranking fifth in the province.
