Hushan Sports Park in Jiangshan, a county-level city in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, has been honored by the International Weightlifting Federation as the Asia Weightlifting Training Center. This recognition, awarded on April 28, solidifying the city's reputation as a hub for weightlifting events and complements its existing international sports training facilities.

The sports park boasts a 4,000-seat stadium, a comprehensive weightlifting training center with 50 platforms, and a sports hotel offering nearly 300 rooms. Since its inauguration in August last year, the park has hosted close to 30 major events, including pre-competition training camps for weightlifting competitions at the 2022 Asian Games.

In a significant development, Jiangshan secured the hosting rights for the 2025 Asian Weightlifting Championships during the executive board meeting of the Asian Weightlifting Federation in Uzbekistan on February 2. At this meeting, the park was officially designated as the Asian Weightlifting Training Center.

Jiangshan has hosted the National Weightlifting Championships seven times, and in 2016, it hosted its first international weightlifting event — the China-Japan-Korea Weightlifting Invitational Tournament.

Champions from the Chinese Weightlifting Team at the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics were all selected in the city.
