Quzhou-based Zhe An Group has secured a national invention patent for its newly developed air-conditioned vest, designed to help outdoor workers beat the heat, Tide News reported on Aug 15.
This innovative cooling vest consists of a wearable garment, a cooling system, and a power supply. The vest utilizes a micro air conditioning unit powered by a lithium battery, with each unit weighing less than 2.8 kilograms.
"We've always focused on technological innovation and product development to capture market opportunities," said Mao Leiwu, a Zhe An Group employee. The vest is easy to use — simply wear the vest, attach the battery, and flip the switch.
The air-conditioned vest is ideal for workers in high-temperature outdoor environments, effectively preventing heatstroke and heat-related illnesses. The vest can maintain an operating temperature of around 24 C to lower body temperature while avoiding potential harm from prolonged exposure to cold.
Zhe An Group, a high-tech company specializing in the research, design, production, and sale of firefighting equipment, developed the air-conditioned vest as part of its ongoing innovation efforts. The product is now in mass production and available on the market, providing relief to those working in extreme heat.
