A "Thousand-Person Tofu Feast" kicked off in Qinghu village, Jiangshan county-level city, Quzhou, on Jan 25.
Locals and visitors gathered to enjoy a festive mix of delicious tofu dishes and folk performances, embracing the joy of Chinese New Year.
The word "tofu" carries a special meaning in the local dialect, as its pronunciation echoes "tou fu", literally meaning "good fortune at the start of the year".
At 11:30 am, the feast began, with dozens of round tables packed with diners. Eighteen beautifully presented tofu dishes were served one after another, filling the air with the rich aroma of tradition and celebration.
As guests indulged in the meal, live performances kept the energy high, with cheers and laughter echoing throughout the venue. The festive atmosphere was further enriched by antique auctions.
During Spring Festival, the village will host a series of activities, including food tastings, heritage showcases, antique displays, and immersive tours.
