In recent days, the terraced fields of Changhong township in Kaihua county, Quzhou, Zhejiang province, have become a golden sea of canola flowers in peak bloom.

This spectacle attracted tourists from all over during the Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6.

The Taihuishan village in Changhong township, known for its breathtaking views, boasts nearly 13.33 hectares of canola fields cascading from the summit to the base of Taihui Mountain. Due to its high altitude and significant temperature variations, the peak blooming season here lasts from late March to mid-April.

These terraced fields, ranging from 100 to 800 meters in altitude, create a stunning floral display. Many tourists choose to hike up the mountain to enjoy panoramic views from the observation platforms.

Since 2020, a "canola flowers + ecological rice" crop rotation model has been in use, promoting agritourism. In addition to admiring flowers, visitors can engage in traditional crafts like lacquered fan-making, enriching their cultural experience.

The tourism boom has benefitted local businesses, generating considerable revenue for farm stays and homestays and boosting sales of local products.
