Quzhou enterprises show strength, innovation in foreign trade
Manufacturer Zhejiang Jingshang CNC Technology Company, based in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, was a hive of activity on May 15, with workers busily producing high-quality vertical computer numerical control (CNC) machining centers.
"Our products are exported to countries like Russia, Argentina, Turkiye, and Mexico, with foreign trade accounting for over half of our total sales. Last year, our annual output value exceeded 20 million yuan ($2.77 million)," said Yu Liangbin, general manager of Jingshang.
This year, from caviar to moka pots and rubber shoes to fresh bamboo shoots, Quzhou enterprises have been undeterred by challenging global trade conditions, each finding unique ways to expand international markets.
In the first quarter, the total value of Quzhou's imports and exports reached 18.48 billion yuan, a 16.2 percent year-on-year increase.

Zhejiang Zebang Machinery Company, specializing in mechanical axles, has been closely monitoring overseas trends to make quick adjustments when needed. They custom-designed a detachable rain cover trailer for a Kazakh client, addressing the challenges of using traditional open trailers in extreme cold.
Zhejiang Universal Machinery Company, specializing in diesel generators, super-silent generators, reefer container generators, solar light towers, and other new products, whose products are exported to over 100 countries and regions, has been prioritizing the customer experience.
Zhejiang Huakang Pharmaceutical Company, which accounts for a third of the global sugar alcohol market, continues to innovate with 47 international patent applications and 39 granted in the US, Japan, and beyond.
At the recent 137th China Import and Export Fair, Quzhou enterprises secured intended orders worth $41.29 million.
