Manufacturer Quzhou Jiazhi Technology Company, based in Changshan county — located in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province — is transforming logistics with its autonomous mobile robots or AMRs.

Founded by Xiong Rong, a professor in robotics from Zhejiang University, Jiazhi Technology has quickly become a global leader in AMRs since establishing itself in Changshan last year.

The company's core team, mainly from Zhejiang University, specializes in advanced fields like robot navigation algorithms and laser simultaneous localization and mapping, namely SLAM technology.

These innovations have resulted in a suite of automated logistics products, including load-bearing robots and intelligent forklifts. Over 1,000 units produced by the company have been delivered to more than 30 countries and regions.

The AMRs can rotate 360 degrees, maintain positioning accuracy within 2 millimeters, and carry loads up to 30 metric tons.

With laser SLAM navigation, they efficiently navigate complex environments, significantly reducing labor costs. Moreover, they support industries like pharmaceuticals and automotive, ensuring seamless logistics and material handling.

At the testing area of the company's factory, workers conduct tests on various AMRs, focusing on obstacle avoidance and load-bearing capabilities.

At its production area, adjacent to the testing area, workers assemble the high-tech vehicles. Hu Chao, head of testing, said that all their electronic and core components are developed in-house.
